The existing floor trusses between Grids E and F and Grids 19 and 20 are 20 inches deep, TJL's at 24 inches on center. These trusses span about 20 feet. According to the truss manufacture's design tables, these trusses are able to support 220 pounds per lineal foot. This translates to 110 pounds per square foot. The dead Toad of the existing floor is 20 psf and the partition Toad is 20 psf. This leaves 70 psf for live load. Current building code live Toad for normal office space is 50 psf. In my opinion, the existing floor trusses are adequate to support normal office loading. In addition, I have modified the floor framing plan over the stairs for the revised marketing office. A 4' -6" x 5' -0" area will be in- filled with 2x12 timber framing per the S1.5B structural drawing attached. This in -fill area is near Grid E and Grid 19.5 and clouded with Revision #1.
