Therefore a detail with material specifications shall be required to show a method of natural through ventilation provided to prevent condensation or water vapors accumulating under the plywood deck. Ventilation shall begin at the bottom edge of the roof and extend to the top or roof ridge to provide sufficient ventilation. Code typically requires a minimum of 1" clear space below the roof deck for roof (attic) ventilation.
