The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila Was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:00 P. M. Present were Mayor G. C. Bergquist and Councilmen J. A. Kunz, J. R. Naylor, E. F. Greene, M. L. Holmes and J. A. Duff. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the clerk and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the clerk and after being, approved by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, sec- onded and carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts. COMMITTEE REPORTS Street Committee Councilman Naylor Twenty -two loads of gravel placed on various streets. Have men working spreading gravel and grading. Drain on Main Street in need of repairs. Recommend that scarifier be hired and all streets resurfaced. If this is done, it will be necessary to advance money to pay for same. OLD BUSINESS It was moved, seconded and carried that the Superintendent of Streets be authorized to install a tile drain on Main Street. Moved, seconded and carried appropriating 420.00 to cover the expense of hiring a scarifier and authorizing the clerk to draw a warrant for same and include in April bills. Councilman Kunz reported Riverside Avenue in need of gravel. Moved, seconded and carried authorizing the purchase of two loads of gravel for this street. The clerk reported the results of the canvas of the registered voters authorized at the last meeting. After a general discussion, it was moveu, :i::conued anu car•rieu that the Water and Le,,a1 Committees prepare an ordinance for the submission of a water supply proposition to the voters of the Town. 4/14/27 It was moved, seconded and carried appropriating ,53.00 to cover any necessary legal expense incurred in the drafting of said ordinance. Councilman Eunz resigned from the Water Committee. His resignation was accepted and Councilman Holmes appointed to fill the vacancy. NEW BUSINESS The clerk stated that a reprint of the Town warrants was nec- essary. Moved, seconded anu carried that he be authorized to have bO) warrants printed. Councilman Duff reported several cases of doss aftictod with rabies during the past month. Clerk instructed to post a notice calling the attention of the citizens to this. Mr. H. Ives appeared before the Council and requested a per- mit a build a chicken house. Permit granted. P. M. No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at 8:40 ,6a
