The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tuk-
wila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:00
P. M. Present were Mayor G. C. Bergquist and Councilmen J. A.
Kunz, J. A. Naylor, E. r. Greene, M. L. Holmes anti J. A. Duff.
Minutes or the last regular meeting were read try the Clerk and
approved as read.
BILLS
The following bills were read by the cleric anti after being
approved by the Finance Committee, it was moved, secondeu anti car-
ried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective
amounts.
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND
Puget Sound Power Light Co. Seattle 439.95
Tukwila Grocery Tukwila x;.50
Lovejoy Stationary Co. Seattle 9.50
D. A. Newton Tukwila 10.00
Tukwila Garage 3.71
TOTAL 65.66
COMMUNICATIONS
The monthly report of the Town Treasurer was read by the clerk
and placed on file.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Street Committee Councilman Naylor -'Have had scarifier
over all streets, however have been unable to secure a team to haul
the gravel authorized for Riverside Avenue. On investigation find
that the drain on Main street is in good si:ape but that the trouble
is at the sand box. Streets in general in gooa shape Out will
need scraping in about two weeks.
Water Committee Councilman Greene The water committee
has prepared an ordinance calling, for an election for a proposed
water system and will be introduced in re course of business.
OLD BUSINESS
After a general discussion it was moved, seconded ana carried
that the and box be repaired with wood construction.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr, Ton appeared before the Councii and stated that only one
of the lights authorized for Riverside Avenue had been installed.
Clerk instructed to call the attention of the Company to the
ommission.
The water election ordinance prepared by the water committee
was introduced by Councilman Greene and placed on its first readipg.
Councilman Naylor reported the building known as the Blue
Goose in an unsanitary condition. Clerk instructed to notify the
owner.

The clerk announced that due to the excellent shape of the
treasury that the interest rate on the Town warrants would be re-
duced to 6% effective with the current bills.
Judge Durbin appeared before the Council and requested that
cinders be placed on Maule Ave. Mr. Ton appeared before the
Council and requested that gravei be piaced on Outlet Street.
Loth matters referred to the street committee for investigation
and action.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at 6:30
P. M.
