The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tuk-
wila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:00 PM.
Present were Mayor John R. Walkup ana Councimen E. F. Greene, M. L.
Holmes, J. A. Duff, Philip Koenig and J. R. Cumming.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were reaa by the Clerk
ana approved as read.
BILLS
The followings bills were read by the Clerk and being approved
by the Finance Committee, it was moved, seconded and carried that
they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts.

COMMTJNICATIONS
The regular report of the Town Treasurer was read by the Clerk
and placed on file.
A letter from the Puget Sound Power Light Company stating
that Pole 30/i7 cannot be moved from its present location.
From the Miller Engineering Company tendering their services
for the position of engineer for the Town of Tukwila.
From Mrs. M. M. Lutz tendering her resignation as town treasurer
to take effect at once.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Street Committee Councilman Duff. Various street repairs
made during the month. Streets on the flats in need of gravel.
Various other streets in need of surfacing.
OLD BUSINESS
The clerk read a list of unpaid street assessments. Moved,
seconded and carried that the clerk be instructed to notify in writ-
ing each property owner of said unpaid assessment and that unless
paid, that the Town would proceed to foreclose on same.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. E. F. Doty was nominated for the position of Town Treasurer.
On motion made, seconded and carried the clerk was instructed to cast
a unanimous vote for Mr. E. F. Doty for the position of treasurer for
the Town of Tukwila.
A rising vote of thanks was given Mrs. M. M. Lutz for her
services.
The matter of garbage disposal was discusses but no action taken.

Mr. Schailus appeared before the Councii and asked that repairs
be made on Rainier Avenue. Referred to the Street Committee.
Mayor Walkup announced the appointment of Mr. A. R. Hilen as
leGal advisor for the Town of Tukwila.
The Mayor appointed Messrs. Herman Anderson, EF. Doty and J. C.
Wickman as an advisory committee to aid the Council in the necessary
work incident to the construction of the water system.
On motion, made secondea anti carried, the Council recesses at
3:40 P. T. subject to the call of the Mayor.
