1: A copy of the electrical work permit shall be posted or otherwise made readily accessible to the
Electrical Inspector at each work site.
2: Approved plans shall be maintained at the construction site and shall be readily available to the
Electrical Inspector.
3: All electrical work shall be in accordance with NFPA 70 - NEC, and requirements for electrical
installations, Chapter 296 -46B WAC.
4: When any portion of the electrical installation is to be hidden from view by permanent placement of
parts of the building, such equipment shall not be concealed until it has been inspected and
approved by the Electrical Inspector.
5: The issuance of an electrical work permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval
of, any violation of the provisions of the electrical code or other ordinances of the jurisdiction.
Permits or related documentation that presumes to grant this authority are therefore not valid.
6: Any change in the scope of work described by the electrical work permit shall require additional
work permits. Where approved plans have been issued, revisions to the plans and additional review
may be required.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS INSPECTION:
Phone your Electric Service Consultant in advance of purchasing or installing
construction materials for City Light approval of manufacturers. Refer to the
attached Material Standard, 7015.05, for a list of City Light approved conduit
manufacturers.
MATERIAL INSTALLATION INSPECTION:
Phone your Electric Service Consultant(Patrick Williams, 208 - 388- 4247)48hrs in
advance of installing any materials to schedule inspection of the installation.
City Light Inspector must inspect conduit trench, trench bedding, conduit,
mandreling conduit & trench backfill before covering the trench.
SERVICE CONDUIT:
Conduit: Provide and install one 2.5" PVC Sch 40 conduit from the Gust's pedestal
to the pole#13 as shown on the pole detail, per U2 -10.
Conduit, Bends: Three 90- degree bends are allowed in the conduit run between access points,
including the bend at the base of the pole. Use PVC Sch 80 with 38" radius for the bends.
Conduit, Riser. The first 10' section up the pole shall be PVC Sch 80 as shown on the pole
detail per U7 -10 & U7 -10.1.
Conduit. Cleaning: Clean and mandrel the conduit, and install a pulling handline
and marking tape per U2- 11.40.
Note:
The conduit must be installed entirely within either
1. property to be served. 2 public right of way.
Do not install conduit to pole until new pole has been set.
