at each work site.
2: Approved plans shall be maintained at the construction site and shall be readily available to the Electrical Inspector.
3: All electrical work shall be in accordance with NFPA 70 - NEC, and requirements for electrical installations, Chapter
296 -46B WAC.
4: When any portion of the electrical installation is to be hidden from view by permanent placement of parts of the
building, such equipment shall not be concealed until it has been inspected and approved by the Electrical Inspector.
5: The issuance of an electrical work permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation
of the provisions of the electrical code or other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Permits or related documentation that
presumes to grant this authority are therefore not valid.
6: Any change in the scope of work described by the electrical work permit shall require additional work permits. Where
approved plans have been issued, revisions to the plans and additional review may be required.

1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LANDLORD'S CRITERIA AND
ALL LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL CODES.
2. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED PERMITS, APPROVALS,
LICENSES & CERTIFICATES TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.
3. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL CARRY WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION,
LIABILITY, AND PROPERTY DAMAGE INSURANCE & PAY FOR SAME. REFER TO
"CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT" FOR REQUIRED AMOUNTS ETC.
4. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY WITH OWNER WHETHER STORE IS TO
REMAIN OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION (WHERE APPLICABLE).
5. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS &
DIMENSIONS AND REMOVE ALL EXISTING ELEMENTS AND FIXTURES NOT RELEVANT
TO NEW WORK. COORDINATE DISPOSAL OF ANY /ALL EXISTING THINGS
REMEMBERED FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT (WHERE APPLICABLE).
6. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING DIMENSIONS.
PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION, A COMPLETE LAYOUT OF STORE SHALL BE
PERFORMED. REPORT ANY DISCREPANCIES AND /OR CONFLICTS TO THE ARCHITECT
AND OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
7. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATIONS OF ALL EXISTING
UTILITIES, AIR DUCTS MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, ETC., AND LOCATIONS OF PROPOSED
CONNECTIONS TO SAME. ANY DISCREPANCIES OR CONFLICTS SHOULD BE
REPORTED TO ARCHITECT AND OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY.
8. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING ALL
WORK PERFORMED BY HIS LABORERS, SUBCONTRACTORS, OWNER'S CONTRACTOR
& OTHERS.
9A. THE SIGN MANUFACTURER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUBMITTING AND
OBTAINING MALL APPROVAL PRIOR TO COMMENCING WITH FABRICATION.
9B. THE SIGN MANUFACTURER SHALL OBTAIN SIGN PERMIT(S) FROM ANY CITY,
STATE, OR COUNTY AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION PRIOR TO SIGN
FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION.
10. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL RENDER THE SERVICES OF A PROFESSIONAL
CLEANING COMPANY UPON THE COMPLETION OF WORK, PRIOR TO TURNOVER OF
STORE TO OWNER. THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE SPACE, MAKING IT READY FOR
MERCHANDISE, WHICH SHOULD GENERALLY CONSIST OF VACUUMING, DUSTING,
WASHING WINDOWS, CLEANING ALL FLOORS.
11. IT IS REQUIRED THAT EACH BIDDER VISIT THE SITE AND FULLY ACQUAINT
THEMSELVES WITH THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
PRIOR TO SUBMITTING THEIR BIDS. FAILURE TO DO SO SHALL NOT RELIEVE THE
CONTRACTOR FROM LIABILITY DUE TO OMISSIONS FROM BID. CHANGE ORDERS DUE
TO SAID OMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
12. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL ARRANGE FOR AN ORIENTATION MEETING
WITH LANDLORD'S REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION.
13. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT FROM DAMAGE ALL EXISTING
SURFACES, MATERIALS, FIXTURES ETC. THAT REMAIN DURING THE COURSE OF THE
PROJECT. THE G.C. SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING ANY AND ALL DAMAGE BY
HIMSELF OR HIS SUBCONTRACTORS DURING THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT. REPAIRS
ARE TO MATCH EXISTING MATERIALS AND MUST BE ACCEPTABLE TO LANDLORD, OR
OTHER GOVERNING AGENCY.
14. ALL FLOOR TRANSITIONS BETWEEN DIFFERENT MATERIALS SHALL BE SMOOTH AND
FLUSH (MAXIMUM SLOPE 1 /8" PER FOOT).
15. FIRE BLOCK ALL WALLS AND FIRE STOP ALL PENETRATIONS AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL
BUILDING CODES.
16. ALL EXISTING AND NEW FIRE RATED CONSTRUCTION AT COLUMNS, CEILINGS, WALLS,
ETC., INCLUDING FIRE DAMPERS, SHALL COMPLY WITH LANDLORD AND LOCAL CODE
REQUIREMENTS.
17. ALL INTERIOR AND STOREFRONT FINISHES MUST MEET LOCAL CODE AND LANDLORD
FLAME SPREAD REQUIREMENTS. MINIMUM TO BE CLASS C (III) OR BETTER.
18. ANY WOOD FRAMING AND BLOCKING SHALL BE FIRE RETARDANT TREATED AS
REQUIRED BY LOCAL CODES.
19. ALL PARTITIONS, CEILINGS, LIGHT FIXTURES, DUCT WORK, ETC. TO BE BRACED TO
STRUCTURE TO RESIST SEISMIC LOADING AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL CODES.
20. ALL STOREFRONT CONSTRUCTION IS TO BE SELF SUPPORTING FROM FLOOR AND
ATTACHED TO LANDLORD STRUCTURE ABOVE FOR LATERAL SUPPORT ONLY. (UNLESS
SPECIFICALLY INDICATED OTHERWISE.)
21. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT A METAL STUD & GYP. BD.
BARRICADE ENCLOSING ENTIRE STOREFRONT IN ACCORDANCE WITH LANDLORD CRITERIA
UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY LANDLORD. G.C. TO VERIFY REQUIREMENTS WITH
LANDLORD REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION.
22. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE G.C., HIS SUPERVISOR AND /OR
SUB - CONTRACTOR(S) TO GUARANTEE THE SAFETY OF ALL MATERIALS SUPPLIED BY THE
TENANT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND FIXTURING OF THE PROJECT. THIS INCLUDES, BUT
IS NOT LIMITED TO, A COMPLETE CHECK OF ALL ITEMS RECEIVED AND NOTIFICATION
WITHIN 48 HOURS OF ANY SHORTAGES OR DAMAGES, AS WELL AS SECURITY FROM
LOSS OR DAMAGE AFTER RECEIPT. ALL SHORTAGES AND /OR DAMAGES NOT REPORTED
TO TENANT OR FIXTURE CONTRACTOR WITHIN SAID 48 HOURS WILL BE REPLACED WITH
IDENTICAL QUALITY MATERIAL AT THE SOLE EXPENSE OF G.C..
23. ALL PLASTIC LAMINATE AND METAL FIXTURE EDGES MUST BE DE- BURRED PRIOR TO
TURNOVER TO ELIMINATE ANY SHARP EXPOSED EDGES WHICH MAY COME INTO
CONTACT WITH STORE OCCUPANTS.
24. NO COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS ARE TO BE USED ABOVE THE FINISHED CEILING LINE.

BUS SIZE, TYPE MOUNTING OR VOLTAGE RATINGS, SHALL BE AS SHOWN ON THE
DRAWINGS.
SUBMIT MATERIAL LISTS AND SHOP DRAWINGS FOR MAJOR EQUIPMENT TO THE
ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL. SUBMITTALS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH GENERAL

FIXTURES PROVIDED BY OWNER WORKSHOP SHALL BE SHIPPED TO THE SITE FOR
INSTALLATION BY THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SURVEY THE
SHIPMENT TO VERIFY FIXTURE QUANTITIES AND DAMAGES. IN THE EVENT THAT SHIPMENT IS
INCOMPLETE OR DAMAGED, CONTRACTOR SHALL INFORM OWNER,

26. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL RECORD ALL FIELD CHANGES IN HIS WORK AS THE
JOB PROGRESSES, AND UPON COMPLETION SHALL TURN OVER TO THE TENANT A RECORD
SET OF PRINTS SHOWING THESE CHANGES.
27. AT THE COMPLETION OF JOB, CONTRACTOR SHALL REPLACE ANY LAMPS THAT HAVE
BURNED OUT. NEW AND EXISTING, CLEAN ALL FIXTURES, TOUCH UP ANY SCRATCHES
AND REPLACE ANY FIXTURES THAT HAVE BEEN DAMAGED.
28. GUARANTEE:
MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION SHALL BE GUARANTEED FOR A PERIOD OF
ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ACCEPTANCE. DEFECTS WHICH APPEAR DURING THAT
PERIOD SHALL BE CORRECTED AT THIS CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
FOR THE SAME PERIOD, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY
DAMAGE TO THE PREMISES CAUSED BY DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP OR IN THE WORK OR
EQUIPMENT FURNISHED AND /OR INSTALLED BY HIM.
29. IT IS THE INTENT THAT THE FOREGOING WORK SHALL BE COMPLETE IN EVERY
RESPECT AND THAT ANY MATERIAL OR WORK NOT SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED OR SHOWN
ON THE DRAWINGS. BUT NECESSARY TO . FULLY COMPLETE THE WORK SHALL BE
FURNISHED.
30. THE LOCATION OF RECEPTACLES AND FIXTURES SHOWN ON THE DRAWING IS
