The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was
Called to order by the Mayor on the aoove date at 6:03 P. M. Present
were Mayor John A. Walkup and Councilmen E. F. Greene, J. A. Duff, M.
L. Holmes, and Phillip Koenig. Coui ciiiian Cunning .being absent.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk and
approved.
BILLS
The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being approved
by the Finance Committee, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried
that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts.

COMMUNICATIONS
The regular monthly report of the Town Treasurer was read by the
Clerk and placed on file.
A letter from Mr. E. F. Doty tendering his resignation as Town
Treasurer.
COMMITTEE stEPORTS
Street Committee Councilman Duff. Have spread fifty -one yards
of gravel on various streets and tho somewhat muddy, the streets are
in fair condition.
Water Committee Councilman Greene. Several technical dificu.l-
ties have arisen which have delayed progress somewhat.
OLD BUSINESS
The Clerk having been unable to secure the necessary figures, the
matter of delinquent assessments was held over until the next meetin
NEW BUSINESS
It was moved, seconded and carried that action on MR. Doty's
resignation oe helot over untli the next meeting.
It was further moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk ee in-
structed to write Mr. Doty notifying him of this action and further
notifying him that he is still in office ana under bond for the faith-
ful performance of duty until his s uccessor isappointed and :qualifies
for the position.
Mayor Walkup brought up the matter of the sale of tax dea.inr
property by in County and suggested that the Town buy in any certain
properties which may have large local asseeenients against them. No
action taken

The mayor brought up,the mater of the present handling of building
permits suggesting that all permits be Okey'd by the Council. Clerk
instructed to report all permits issued during any current month at
the next following mee t.uig
MayorWalkup requested a permit to build a chicken house. Granted.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the Superintendent of Streete
be authorized to expend 4.00.00 in the necessary repairs of streets.
Councilman Koenig appeared in the interest of a citizen and requested
a permit for said citizen to shoot, crows on his place. After some
discussion it was moved, seconded ana carried that permission be
granted.
The discussion having brought out that Ordinance No. 109 does not
permit the discharge of firearms Within the corporate limits of the
Town of Tukwila for any reason what so ever, it was moved, seconded
and carried that the Clerk prepare an oruinance amending Ordinance
No. 109 so as to allow the use of firearms for necessary purposes
providing permission be given by the Councii.
No further business appearing, theCouncii adjourned at 9:14 PM.
