purpose of considering the refusal of the Auditor of Kind; County to
eertifj the total amount of the Budget of the Town of Tukwila for the
'ear 1928, was called to order by the Major at 3:i0 P M. of the
above date.
Present were Major John R. Walkup and Councilmen E. F. Greene,
Phillip Koenig and J. A. Duff. Councilmen M. L. Holmes and J. A.
Cumming being absent.
Mayor Walkup announced that the Auditor of in County had re-
fused to certify that portion of the proposed budget for the Town of
Tukwila for 1923 which deals with the payment of interest and prin-
cipal of Town indebtedness. He further stated that the Auditor has
ruled that only six mills can be legally assessed for the payment of
municipal indebtedness.
Resolution No. 36 was introduced and the Clerk instructed to
read same.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that resolution
No. 36 be adopted. The Mayor and Clerk then signed Resolution No.
36 in open Council session.
