HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928-07-19 Special MinutesApppoved Tukwila, July 19, 1928 A special meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called by the Mayor by a written notice given more than three hours before the meeting to each councilman, for the purpose of con- sidering matters of business which might come before the Council. The following Councilmen were present: S.H. Stevens, Jos. Tonn, J.B. Hemmick, Philip Koenig and James Cumming. Resolution 37 of the Council declaring its intention of improving certain parts of the Town by the laying and construction of water pipes was read by the Clerk. A motion was regularly made and seconded that the resolution be adopted. call showed a unanimous vote for the adoption of of the resolution. Councilman Stevens yes Councilman Cumming yes Tonn Koenig Heemink The resolution of passage became resolution No. 37. An ordinance providing for a change of time of the meeting of the Town Council and also for the repeal of, Ordinance No. 77 was introduced and read by the Clerk. It was moved and seconded that the ordinance be passed. Roll call showed a unanimour vote in fovor of the ordinance's passage, Councilman Stevens yes Councilman Cumming yes Tonn yes Koenig yes Heeming yes After a short discussion a motion that the Chairman of the street committee be empowered to get the brush on the streets cut; the gutters on the streets cleaned up; and to get in touch with the County Commissmoners to see if they might do some work on Outlet Street with their machinery was made, seconded and carried. Mr. Blackwell, consulting engineer for the Town of Tukwila, on invitation gave a short lecture on water. No further business appearing a motion that the Council ad- journ was made, seconded and carried at 9:00 p. m.
