was called to order by Mayor John R. Walkup. Councilmen Stevens,
Koenig, Cumming, Heemink and Ton were present.
The minutes of the last regular meeting was read by the
Clerk and upon approval were filed. The minutes of the Special m
Meeting of August 10 and of the Special Meeting of September 4
were read by the Clerk and upon approval were filed.

Upon the report of the finance committee that all bills
had been approved a motion was made, seconded and carried that all
the bills presented be allowed and that warrants be drawn for their
respective amounts.-
The Treasurer's reports. for months of July and August
were read by the Clerk and Filed by order of the Mayor.
The chairman of the street committee reported that consider—
able work had been done on the streets and that there was much more
to be done. Many sidewalks were reported to be in much need of re—
pair, and the sidewalk in front of J. Kline's new house obstructed
by sand, gravel and lumber. He reported that the gutters on all
streets- needed cleaning and that the trestles on Main street and
on Engel Hill needed repairing. He recommended that the necessary

work be done and that a man be placed in charge of the work so that
it might be done efficiently. A motion was made, seconded and car-
ried that the report of t?'e chairmen of the street committee he
accepted and that he be empowered to proceed with the work.
The chattman of the light committee made a recommendation that an
attempt to get the street lighting rate reduced be made before the
lighting contract was accepted and signed. He also recommended
that a street light be installed near the driveway of the school
yard. A motion was made, seconded and carried that the report of
the chairman of the light committee be accepted and that the Clerk
be instructed to order the installation of the light at the school
house.
The chairman of the laws and ordinances committed reported
that the ordinance fixing the specifications for didewalks in
Tukwila was not yet completed.
The chairman of finance committee reported that a tentative
budget for the year 192 had been drawn up and was ready for the
inspection of the Council. On order of the Mayor the tentative
budget was read by the Clerk. A motion was made, seconded and
carried that the report of the finance committee be accepted.
The Mayor announced that a. public hearing on the proposed budget
would be held in the Town Hall on the first Monday in October at
the hour of 10:00 a. m.

No further business appearing a motion that the Council
adjourn was made, seconded and carriedr time 9 :15 p. m.
