A N ORDINANCE vacating a
g portion of
Oar Musiel Road (South 178th Street), within
the City of Tukwila.

WHEREAS, by resolution No. 228, adopted July 7,
1969, the City Council determined to consider vacation of
a portion of Musiel Road (South 178th Street) described
below; and
WHEREAS, resolution No. 228 fixed the 4th day of
August, 1969, at 8 o'clock P.M. in the Council chambers of
the City Hall of the City of Tukwila, Washington, as the
time and place when resolution No. 228 would be heard and
determined by the City Council of Tukwila; and
WHEREAS, due notice of the hearing upon said
resolution was given in the manner provided by law and said
hearing was held by the City Council on August 4, 1969,
pursuant to RCW 35.79; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now determined to
vacate that portion of Musiel Road (South 178th Street)
described below,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Tukwila, Washington, do ordain as follows:
Section I. That portion of Musiel Road (South
178th Street) in the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 35, Twp.
23 N., Range 4 E., W.M., described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of said
subdivision said point being North 87 °50'57”
West 810.15 feet from the Northeast corner
thereof, thence South 29 °42'27" West 56.17 feet,
thence North 89 °30'27" East 337.65 feet, thence
North 2 09'03" East 4.23 feet, thence North
87 °50'57" West 75.27 feet; thence along the arc
of a curve to the right, having a radius of
173.24 feet, through a central angle of 26 °52'40"
an arc distance of 81.27 feet, thence South
89 0 30'27" West 133.11 feet; thence North 29 °42'27"

East 19.65 feet, to the North line of Southeast
1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 35,
thence North 87 °50'57" West along said North
line 33.84 feet to the point of beginning.
be, and it is hereby abandoned, discontinued, closed and
vacated as a public street.
Section II. "This ordinance will take effect and
be in force if, within 90 days of the passage hereof the
abutting property owners shall compensate the City of Tukwila
by depositing with the City Treasurer the sum of 0

which amount does not exceed one -half the appraised value of
the above described property, and in the event of the failure
of the abutting property owners to so deposit said sum,this
ordinance shall never take effect or be in force, and shall
not be published or recorded."
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the
Mayor of the City of Tukwila, Washington, at a regular
meeting thereof this 4,41 day of 1969.
