Came about when King County announced a few years ago that they would no longer take misdemeanor prisoners AND they were doubling rates. So the above communities got together and built a jail. Now King County has a much smaller than anticipatedjail population, and the KC Jailers are complaining that some of the prisoners in SCORE stave felony convictions, even though they are only incarcerated for a misdemeanor.
