wila was held on the above date in the Town Hallm begihhtng at eight
pm. Those present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Jos. Ton,
Philip Koenig, J. R.Heemink and S. H. Stevens.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk
and were approved as read.
COMMUNICATIONS:
The following bills were read:

A motion was duly made, seconded and carried that all the bills
presented be allowed and that warrants be drawn for their respective
amounts.
The treasurer's monthly report was read by the Clerk and was
filed by order of the Mayor.
The resignation of Councilman J. R. Cumming was read. A
motion was made, seconded and carried that the resignation be accepted.
Regrets were expressed that Mr. Cumming should be called another state
and the Clerk was instructed to draw up a resolution expressing the
thanks of the Town Council for his service on the Council.
Resolution Nol 40 was introduced and read by the Clerk. A
motion was made and seconded that the resolution be adopted. Roll
call showed a unanimous \note in favor of the adoption of the resolution.

The chairman of the street committee reported as follows:
(1). That the brush had finally all been cut from the streets; (2).
That the trestle on Engel Hill had a b e repaired; (3). That several
streets r ee t s ha b een cut s somewhat by recent heavy rains an it would
be necessary to do some work on them. A motion was made, seconded and
carried that the chairman of the street committee be empowered to use
his own discretion in getting the necessary work done. Councilman
Stevens reported that County Commissioner Frank Paul had promised
the Town of Tukwila the use of some street machinery for the payment
of the gas and oil and the driver's wages. He also stated that there
would be no charge at all for the work already done on Ton's Hill.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
None.
NEW BUSINESS:
Councilman Stevens introduced an ordinance relatmgg to the
gutters and drains in the streets. This ordinance was read for the
first time by the Clerk. By order of the Mayor it was read a second
time by title only. On motion duly made, seconded and carried by roll
call the ordinance was read a third time by title and passed unani—
mously by the Council.

A permit to build a garage was granted to Fred Nord.
A citized appeared and requested that the street in front
of J. R. Naylor's house be repaired. The matter was referred to the
street committee.
No further business appearing a motion was made, seconded
and carried that the Council adjourn. Time 9:12 p. m.
