Tree Clearing Permit (L08 -037)
Dear Mr. Tamburelli:
The City has completed its review of the above tree clearing permit. Overall the trees
being replaced on the site are acceptable with the City. However, please update the plan
to show the location of the proposed side sewer connection to the proposed home. It
appears that the proposed trees in the front of the property will conflict with the side
sewer.

This is a supplement letter to the Tree Replacement Plan for the lot adjacent to and north of 12048 42nd
Ave. So.
The Tree Replacement Plan clearly shows two trees to be removed and replaced by trees that will fit in a
better context for the site. The two trees being replaced are located within the 200' river buffer zone and
therefore need a tree clearing permit. The two trees to be replaced are in poor to bad condition. The trees
have been badly pruned to a hazardous state. All the trees have been toped and loosing there structure
and ability to hold them self up. All have dead wood and signs of stress and disease.
The replacement trees have been located and selected to be the right trees for the right spot. They will
have a long life and lasting benefit for the new single family residence providing shade, natural beauty
and suitable habitat for the wild life.
The replacement trees are in accordance with 18.54.130 - 3. Tree Replacement chart (b). One of the trees
being replaced will be replaced with the same species as the existing street trees to create an urban
identity, continuity and shading of the asphalt street. The other replacement tree will be an ornamental
Maple that will shade the driveway, the proposed house and interest for the passerby and the owner. Both
of these trees will be 2.5" cal. and deciduous. The remaining tree to be replaced will be replaced with six
native evergreen trees at 6' -8' ht. these trees will help with the growth of urban wildlife and the native
species.
