HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-04-22 Special MinutesTukwila, April 22, 1929 A special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tuk- wila was held int the Town Hall on thw above date at 8:00 p. m. Those present were Mayor Hohn R. Walkup and councilmen Philip Koenig, G. W. Wallenberg and A. H. Stevens. The Mayor announced that the meeting had been called to hear the report of the water committee. The report of the water committee was as follows: (1). That it seemed advisable to install three inch pipe on Tukwila Avenue from Riverside Avenue to Rainier Avenue in place of the smaller pipe planned for that street, and the committee so recommended. (2). That the committee believed it desirable to use the most accurate meter obtainable and so recommended that the meter known to the trade as the Empire be used. (3). That the meter and the necesary appurtenances could be instal- led during the construction of the water system for $21.35 com- plete and the committee recommended that the Council take steps to have the meters installed at this cost. A motion that the report be accepted and that its recommen- dations be Adopted was made, seconded and carried. A second motion that the consumer might have his choice of two methods of payment, namely, cash in full, or $10 on the signing of the application and the balance in two equal consecu- tive_ monthly payments was made, seconded and carried. No further business appearing the Council adjourned at 9:15 p. m. Approved 4-05;ik wn clerk Mayor
