Acceptance of Public Comments — Tukwila International Blvd. Redevelopment Project
Deadline for comments to Department of Ecology: November 21, 2015
The City of Tukwila, 6200 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188, applied for and received
coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology's Construction Stormwater
NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) and State Waste Discharge General
Permit WAR303491. The proposed project, Tukwila International Blvd. Redevelopment Project,
is located at 14420/14440/14442 /14452 Tukwila International Blvd. in Tukwila, WA, in King
County. The project proponent wishes to increase the acreage covered under this permit from
1.53 acres of soil disturbance to 2.5 acres to include property located at 3747 S 146th Street,
Tukwila, WA.
The receiving water is an unnamed tributary to Gilliam Creek. Any persons desiring to present
their views to the department of Ecology regarding this application may do so in writing within
thirty days of the publication of this notice or November 21, 2015. Comments shall be submitted
to the department of Ecology.
Any person interested in the department's action on this application may notify the department
of their interest within thirty days of the last date of publication of this notice or November 21,
2015. Ecology reviews public comments and considers whether discharges from this project
would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality, and, if so, whether the project is
necessary and in the overriding public interest according to Tier II antidegradation requirements
under WAC 173 -201A -320
