HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-05-09 Regular MinutesTukwila, May 9, 1929 A neatfhg of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order in the Town Hall at 8:00 p. m. being a continuance of the regular of May 2, 1999. Those present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig, G. W. W allenberg and J. B. Heemink. A council bill entitled *An ordinance repealing ordinance No 123 of the Town of Tukwila entitled tan ordinance providing for the issuance of $14,000 Municippl water works bond fund bonds of the Town of Tukwila, authorized by ordinance No. 112 of said town *l was read by the Clerk It was read a second time by title. A motion that the bill be placed on its third reading and final pas- sage was made, seconded and carried. The bill was read by title a third time and on roll call the vote was as follows: Councilman Heemink aye Councilmen Wallenberg aye Hoenig The bill became Ordinance No. 126 of the Town of Tukwila. A council bell entitled *An ordinance providing for the is— suance of $14,000 Municipal water works bond fund bonds of the Town of Tukwila, authorized by Ordinance No. 112 of said Town,* was read by the Clerk. It was read a second time by title. A motion that the bill be placed on its third reading and final pas— sage was made, seconded and carried. The bill was read a third time by title and on roll call the vote was as follows: Councilman Heemink aye Councilman Wallenberg aye Koenig The bill became Ordinance No. 127 of the Town of Tukwila. A motion that only $6500 of the bonds be sold was made, seconded and carried. A request of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. for permission to put in some poles on Maule Avenue in order to extend its service was granted and the Clerk was instructed to so notify it. A motion that the pipe on Tukwila Avenue from Riverside Avenue to Rainier Avenue be increased to three inch size at an ad— ditional cost of $128.80 was made, seconded and carried. A second motion that the meters and the nenessary appurtenances be installed by the contractor on a cost plus basis, the total cost not to exceed $21.35 was made, seconded and carried. The Clerk was instructed to notify the engineer of the action of the Council. A motion that all services whether for fire hydrants, house hold use or what be placed on a meter basis was made, seconded and carried. No further business appearing the Council was adjourned at 9:80 p. m. Approved 1 Mayor Qa Olerk
