A question about What is SCORE — South County Regional Jail for Tukwila, Renton, Kent,

that they would no longer take misdemeanor prisoners AND they were doubling rates. So the
above communities got together and built a jail. Now King County has a much smaller than
anticipatedjail population, and the KC Jailers are complaining that some of the prisoners in
SCORE stave felony convictions, even though they are only incarcerated for a misdemeanor. It is a
much higher fee to have a prisoner at KCJ than SCORE, plus SCORE is contracting with other
agencies to take their prisoners they need.
