Group Introductions and welcome to guests.
Nora updated the board on the Comprehensive Plan (community engagement, policies, vacant land, mixed use projects (Washington
Place and Tukwila Village, market rate assisted living). Next steps are looking at potential implementation strategies for the next
Few years.
Tammy (Multi Service Center) discussed the coordinated entry system (diversion, rapid rehousing, shelter to housing, chronically
Homeless), the homeless definition according to King County vs McKinney Vento, conditions of generational poverty that may lead to
generational homelessness.
Evie shared that the Tukwila and SeaTac rotaries have been combined and are looking for a resident who can act as a community liaison.
She also shared that there has been a request by Seattle /King County Coalition on Homelessness to present to city council on the One
Night Count (volunteers count men, women, and children who are homeless and staying outside during one winter night).
Next meeting, will be in January, 2016 if a quorum is available.
