HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-09-09 Special MinutesTukwila, Washington, Sept. 5, 1929 The regular maeeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8:00 p. m. Those present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig, J. C. Wickman, S. H. Stevens,, J. B. Heemink and Joseph Ton. The minutes of the last regular meeting ware read by the Clerk and were approved as read. The Mayor declared that on account of the sudden death of the Town Engineer, J. D. Blackwell no regular business would be taken up. It was moved, seconded and carried that a resolution of condol- ence be prepared, passed and a copy sent to Mrs. Blackwell. The sum of $10.00 was subscribed by the Town officers and many citizens present and the Clerk was instructed to buy flowers to send to the funeral. It was moved, seconded and carried that the inspector, J. P. Walkuprbe retained as acting engineer until such time as his ser- vices were not needed. No further business appearing the Council adjourned at 8:30 p. m. Approved Duff, Town R. Valkup, Mayor Tukwila, Washington, Sept. 9, 1929 A special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8 :00 p. m. Those pre- sent were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig, J. C. Wickman, J. B. Heemink, S. H. Stevens and Joseph Ton. The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was for the purpose of hearing and considering the Engineer's report on the Municipal water system. Resolution 46 Inspector J. P. Walkup made a detailed report on the system. It was moved, seconded, and carried that the inspector get in touch with the Contractor, A. Del Guzzo or his attorney to see if a settlement of the differences might be arranged. It was moved, seconded and carried that the inspector's salary of $150.00 for the month of August be passed and a warrant drawn for the amount.
