HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-11-12 Special MinutesTukwila, Washington, Nov. 12, 1929 A special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8:00 p. m. Those Present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig, J. C. Wickman J. B. Heemink, S. H. Stevens and Joseph Ton. The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting has to consider the final assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 1, to hear protests if any and any other business that might come before the Council. resolution 47 It was moved, seconded and carried that the protest of Mrs. Elma T- Christensen be allowed and the assessment of $141.90 against tract twenty (20), Brookvale Garden tracts be reduced to $116.10. It was moved, seconded and carried that the protest of Paul Fox be flowed and the assessment of $27.09 against lot ten (10), block one (1),_ Summit View Addition be reduced to $4.30. It was moved, seconded and carried that the protest of J. W. tierce be allowed and the assessment of $17.20 against lot nine (9), block sixteen (16), Hillman's Seattle Garden Tracts be stttcken. It was moved, seconded and carried that the protest of Hans Wiedemann be allowed and the assessment of $29.24 against lot ten (10), Block four (4), Hillman's Seattle Garden Tracts be reduced to $27.52; and the assessment of "h"^. agai"s; lot ele' ,(11), block four (4), same addition be stricken. It was moved, seconded and carried that the protest of Mrs. Delphia Johnson be allowed and the assessment_ of $448.27 against tract twenty (20), Interurban Tracts be reduced to $357.97. A council bell relating to the confirmation of the assessment roll was read by the Clerk. It was read a second time by title. It was moved, seconded and carried that the bill be read a third time by title and placed on its final passage. It was read a third time by title and on roll call passed unanimously, Roll call was as follows: Councilman Koenig aye Councilman Wickman aye Heemink Stevens Ton The bill became Ordinance No. 131 of the Town of Tukwila.
