HomeMy WebLinkAbout1930-04-03 Regular MinutesTukwila, April 3, 1930 The regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8:00 p. m.. Those present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig, T. C. Wickman, J. B. Heemink and S. t'. Steevens. The minutes of the February 6th and of March 6th were read by the Clerk and were approved as read. BILLS Current expense fund: B. A. Foreman G. C. e '•gquist J. A. Duff J. Englund J. A. Waljup After a brief recess called by the :`ayor for the auditing of the bills the Council was called to order to hear.he report of the finance committee. The chairman of the finance committee re- ported that all the bills had been approved as presented. A mo- tion that all the bills be allowed as presented and that warrants be drawn for their respective amounts was made, seconded and carried. COMMUNICATIONS The Treasurer's monthly financial report was read by the Clerk and was ordered filed. A letter from Shorts Denny in re- gard to the case of the Puget Well Drilling Co. vs. the Town 6f Tukwila was read by the Clerk. A letter from the Golden Arrow Farms Inc. relative to water rates was read by the Clerk. A motion that the letter be sent to the Seattle Council accompanied by an explanatory note was made, seconded and carried. A letter from A. C. Herman asking for an adjustment of his water bill was read by the Clerk. The Clerk was instructed to inform him how impossible it was to redu.;e the bill. Gilbert and others was presented by C. F. Gilbert. It was referred to the street committee. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk issue a permit to Mrs. Suaan O'Byrne to build an addition to her residence. The Clerk was instructed to write to the telephone company regarding the moving of a tele- phone pole on the alley on the flat. Mrs. Green appeared and ask- ed to have the blackberries on the lot adjoining her home burned. April 3d continued The Clerk was instructed to write to the owner regarding the mat- ter., The other business appearing a motion that the Council adjourn was made, seconded and carried.
