Those present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig, and J. C. Wickman. A quoroum not being present the Council adbourned sine die at 8:15 p. m. Those present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Phillip Koenig and J. C. Wickman and Councilmen -elect E. F. Greene, B. E. Baker and J. R. Gumming who were duly sworn in and entered upon and as- sumed the duties of their office. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk and were approved as read. 6.25 10.00 42.50 10.00 12.00 $83.25 93.10 .96 4.21 8.20 30.00 0136.47 After a brief recess called by the Mayor for the auditing of the bills the Council was called to order to hear the report of the finance committee. The chairman of the finance committee reported that all the bills had been approved as presented. A Motion that all the bills be allowed as recommended by the finance committee and that warrants be drawn for their respective amounts was made, seconded and carried. Jun. 5, 1930 cont.iziued ■C�1r[?NIC►TI:NS The monthly report of the Treasurer was read .by the Clerk. It was ordered filed. The report of the superintendent of w ter was read by the Clerk. It was ordered filed. Letters from the State Auditor regarding the Bergquist bill were read by the Clerk. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Bergquist bill be not al- lowed. The Clerk was instructed to communicate with Mr. Bergquist inclosing a copy of the State iluditor's letter, and demanding the return of the -oney appropriated by the Treasurer. A letter from the Miller Engineerin Co. wRA read by the Clerk. The matter of renaming the streets carne up and the Council went on record as favoring the plan. F. E. Henke apptied for a permit to build a garage- The permit was granted. OLD BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS Mr. Miller of the Miller Engineering Co. appeared before the Council and requested that a special meeting be held with the water commissioners of the Foster District. A special meeting was announced by the Mayor for Thursday, June 12, 1930 at 8:00 p. m_ in the Town Hall. The Mayor announced the following committees: Building Cumming,.
