Tukwila Wa.gov J: January 4, 2016 ,dim Haggerton, Mayor The following commissioners attended the regularly scheduled meeting of the Tukwila Civil Service Commission: Steve Wheeler and Bruce Paquette. Others in attendance were Police Deputy Chief Bruce Linton, Police Records Manager Leon Richardson and Kim Gilman, Civil Service Examiner. CALL TO ORDER 5:02 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES GENERAL BUSINESS: Chairperson Rotation 2016 meeting schedule POLICE DEPAR' Revision to Vice -Chair Steve meeting to order. The Vice -Chair asked if there were any corrections needed for the December 4th Commission Meeting minutes. No corrections, were noted. Per Civil Service Rules', the chair rotated to Stephen Wheeler, The vice chair, rotated to Bruce Paquette. and ce Examiner distributed the 2016 meeting pertpd,that meetings will continue to occur lay of the month, except for July and to holidays. Deputy Chief Linton reported that the Police Department is fully staffed with 77 commissioned officers, with some open pipeline positions. He noted that the newly hired Patrol Administrative Assistant position is scheduled to begin work tomorrow. Deputy Chief Linton introduced Leon Richardson, Police Records Manager to those in attendance. Mr. Richardson explained that the Department plans to re- allocate the existing Administrative Specialist position to work in the Special Services division. He noted that the job description remains substantially the same, with only some minor edits being made to recognize the work done on 1 1 2 J: FIRE DEPARTMENT BUSINESS Jim Haggerton, Mayor public records requests, and the removal of references to the Chronic Nuisance Ordinance. Staffing Update Fire Staff were not in attendance at the meeting. Update not provided. ADJOURNMENT 5:11pm MOVED BY PAQUETTE, SECONDED BY WHEELER THAT THE REGULAR MEETING BE ADJOURNED.
