Today, at approx. 1425 hours, a Tukwila Police Officer observed a vehicle parked in the
middle of a street in a residential area in Tukwila. There was a male subject standing
outside the car, peering into it. When the officer went to investigate, the male jumped
into the vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to stop it and
was able to determine the vehicle was a reported stolen out of King County.
The vehicle failed to yield, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. After a short pursuit, the
confirmed stolen vehicle crashed at the corner of the intersection of S. 112th St and
Tukwila International Blvd. 3 occupants fled from the vehicle, 2 males and 1 female. A
containment perimeter was set up and a search ensued for the subjects. At various
times all occupants of the car were apprehended.
Apprehended were 1 juvenile male, 1 juvenile female, and 1 adult male. The adult male
was identified as the driver. The female was released at the scene and transported to
the hospital with an undiagnosed medical condition, unrelated to the incident. The male
juvenile was questioned and released at the station to an adult family member. The
male driver was subsequently booked into KCJ.
The incident is under further investigation by detectives from the Tukwila Police Major
Crimes Unit.
