Meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m.
OLD BUSINESS
Minutes from the October 1, 2015 Meeting were reviewed, but due to a lack of quorum, this
item will move to the December meeting.
Commission Vacancies:
The group discussed the 2 vacancies currently on the Commission. Both are School District
representative positions.
Roles for 2016
Commissioners were asked to consider if they would be willing to serve as Chair or Vice Chair for 2016.
The group also discussed the current program goals and whether or not they are still appropriate for
next year. Most felt the current goals reflect the objectives of the Commission and do not need to be
modified for next year. This can be discussed further at the December meeting. There was some
interest in focusing on one particular goal (versus 3) and that it might be more productive to focus on a
single area of interest.
The group also expressed ongoing interest in having residents from our diverse community share their
stories with the Commission — perhaps the School District liaisons or the City's Community Connectors.
