SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ekberg called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 5:34 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Melissa Hart, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present were Councilmembers Joe Duffie,
Dennis Robertson, Verna Seal, De'Sean Quinn, Kate Kruller, and Thomas McLeod.
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY KRULLER TO EXCUSE COUNCILMEMBER HOUGARDY
FROM THE SPECIAL MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 6 -0.

CONSENT AGENDA
a. Approval of Minutes: 2/16/16 (Regular Meeting); 2/22/16 (Special Meeting)
b. Vouchers for March 7, 2016: #371601- 371695 and 160203, 160204 and 160301 in the amount of
$1,031,047.51.
c. Authorize the Mayor to sign an agreement with Pacific Golf and Turf for the purchase of 18 golf carts
for use at Foster Golf Links in the amount of $62,310.00.

d. A resolution setting green fees for the City's Foster Golf Links; and repealing Resolution No. 1822.

e. Award a bid to R. L. Alia Company for the CBD (Commercial Business District) Sanitary Sewer
Rehabilitation —Sewer Repair at 1227 Andover Park East Project, in the amount of $69,717.56 (plus
contingency) and authorize the Mayor to sign the contract.

f. Authorize the Mayor to sign an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Burien for services related to the
Public Defense Monitoring and Evaluation program.

g. Authorize the approval of a fireworks permit submitted by Sounders S2 to be used at select home
games at the Starfire Sports Complex during the 2016 regular and post- season.

MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY SEAL THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE APPROVED AS
SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED 6 -0.
Mayor Ekberg announced that the families displaced by the recent house fires are in need of housing
within the Tukwila School District. He asked that anyone with information on housing that is available
contact the Mayor's Office (206 433 -1850) or Human Services (206 433 - 7181).
Council President Duffie thanked the Tukwila Fire, Police and Public Works Departments for their work
within the City after the recent weather events.
