HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-05-11 Special Minutes - Shoreline Master Program Work Session City of Tukwila City Council Shoreline Master Program Council Work Session Location: City Hall Council Chambers Date: May 11, 2011 Begin Time: 6:08 p.m. End Time: 8:04 p.m. PRESENT Elected Officials: Allan Ekberg, Council President; Councilmembers: Joe Duffie, Joan Hernandez, Dennis Robertson, Verna Griffin, Kathy Hougardy and De'Sean Quinn Staff: Jack Pace, Community Development Director; Nora Gierloff, Community Development Deputy Director; Carol Lumb, Senior Planner; Sandra Whiting, Urban Environmentalist; Steve Lancaster, City Administrator and Kimberly Matej, Legislative Analyst Other: Dave Radabaugh, Department of Ecology and Bob Sterbank, Kenyon Disend The Work Session consisted of a presentation and discussions regarding Washington State's Department of Ecology required and recommended changes to the City of Tukwila's adopted Shoreline Master Program (SMP). The Shoreline Master Program regulates the area 200 feet from the ordinary high water mark through the City and potential annexation areas. At the end of the meeting, it was determined that the SMP will move forward to a future Committee of the Whole for discussion and public hearing, as appropriate. Summary by KAM.
