Today, at approx. 1055 hours, the Tukwila Police Department received reports of a
body floating in the Duwamish River. Tukwila Police Department personnel responded
to the scene and confirmed the initial reports and requested the assistance of Tukwila
Fire Department personnel to assist with recovery efforts which are underway at this
time. The identity of the subject is unknown at this time; additional information may be
available at a later time.
The incident is under further investigation by detectives from the Tukwila Police Major
Crimes Unit and the King County Medical Examiner.
