was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8:00 p. ii. Those
present were Mayor John R. Walkup and Councilmen Philip Koenig,
B. E. Baker, J. R. Cumming. J. C Wickian and E F. Greens.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were read by the Clerk
and were ordered placed in the files;;

After a brief recess called by order of the Mayor for the
auditing of the bills, the Council was called to order to hear the
report of the finance committee. The chairman of the finance
committee reported that ali the bills had been approved as pre—
sented. A motion that the bills be allowed as recommended by the
finance committee and that warrants be drawn for their respective
amounts was made, seconded and carried.
COMMUNICATIONS
The Treasurer's monthly financial report was read by the Clerk
and filed. The Water Superintendent's report was read by the Clerk.
An acceptance of the franchise granting the Seattle Gas Comna.ny
the right to lay gas mains in the town streets, etc. was received
from the Seattle Gas Company, and the receipt of same was duly
acknowledged by the Council and was ordered placed in the minutes.

It was moved, seconded and carried that needy residents of the
Town be allowed to cut for their own use any mood that mi be
growing on unimproved streets. The street and alley committee
was requested to stop any unauthorized cutting of wood on any
of the Town streets. It vas moved, seconded and carried that the
street and alley committee have the sidewalks repaired. The water
superintendent was authorized to buy cast iron valve boxes for any
valves that might need them.
No other business appearing the Council by motion duly made,
seconded an car ie adjourned. Tine 9:35 p. m.
