Commission members Kathy Hougardy, Joan Hernandez, Aaron Draganov, and Nate Robinson, through
2017.
Aaron volunteered to explore potential candidates to fill the additional two school representative
positions.
Commissioners who attended the Teen Kick Off event and the Kids Fest reported on the good
attendance and success of both events. Parks and Recreation staff distributed the E/D bracelets we
donated to the students, who liked the color scheme we chose. It was recommended that we have
booths at both of these events next year.

NEW BUSINESS
A community conversation with Fire and Police, facilitated by our Community Connectors, will be held in
mid October (moved from mid September). A location is still being determined. This will be an open
public forum, targeted to reach members of our diverse communities and share information regarding
safety. There will be a need for volunteers to act as greeters, scribes, etc. and this would be an
excellent opportunity to connect with many of our residents. More information will be available soon.
