She submitted a packet of information as well. Business Items A. Park Naming — Chair Mike Martin asked that all the names up for consideration from last month's meeting be written on the board. He then facilitated the first round of voting by having each Commissioner place a mark on the board next to their top two choices. Five names had votes, Carrossino Duwamish Gardens (one vote), Ray Carrossino Pioneer Park (one vote), Chinook Wind (one vote), Chinook Wind Restoration Area (one vote), Chinook Wind Natural Area (three votes), Tukwila Heritage Nature Park (one vote). All names with no votes were then removed from the list. Discussion ensued regarding the reasoning behind the various votes. Then Chari Mike Martin erased the first round of votes and asked the Commissioners to vote for just one of the remaining five names on the board. Chinook Wind Natural Area received the most votes, three. Sean Albert moved the new project site, referred to unofficially as Duwamish Gardens and Chinook Wind, being developed between East Marginal Way and Tukwila International Boulevard, be named "Chinook Wind Natural Area" and that the history of the site be preserved by incorporating historical and interpretive signage throughout the park. Heidi Watters seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Green Tukwila Update — Norah Kates, Project Manager with Forterra, provided an update on the progress of this program.
