On Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 9:45, Tukwila Police were dispatched to a report of two people shot in
the 15000 block of Tukwila International Blvd. The shooting started in the parking lot of the
Kentucky Fried Chicken after two groups of young males were involved in an argument. The fight
escalated to shots being fired. Witnesses reported that there were at least two guns involved and
described it as a gun fight. One victim that was hit by gunfire fled across the street and collapsed in
front of Taco Time. That man was critically injured and is at Harborview for treatment. Another
male received a minor injury and was treated at a local hospital.
Witnesses say the men scattered when the shots started. They ran North and West. As police
arrived, they heard shots in the distance and believe it was associated with this shooting. No
suspects were located. So far, no one involved has come forward to say what happened.
Detectives are at the scene collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
No more information will be released tonight.
