HomeMy WebLinkAbout1931-10-01 Regular MinutesTukwila Wash October 1, 1931 The regular monthly meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 8:00 P.M. Those present were MayorrJohn R. Walkup and Councilmen B. E. Baker J. R. Cumming, E. F. Green, J. S. Storey and August Thies. Lighting Grading Labor Labor Labor Water Ledger Sheets Supt Pay Stamps Envelopes Water Collections 2.50 6.25 10.00 42.50 22.50 16.50 18.00 15.00 113.25 128.60 12.64 32.20 5. ^0 178.44 After a brief recess called by the Mayor for the auditing of the bills the council was called to order to hear the report of the finance committee. The chairman of the finance committee re- ported that all the bills had been approved as presented. A motion that all the bills be allowed as recomended by the finance committee and that warrants be drawn for their respective amounts was made seconded and carried. The Mayor called Councilman Green to the Chair and requested a leafe of absenee form the State for a period of fifteen to twenty days. A motion was made seconded and carried granting the request of the Mayon. COMMT]NI CATIONS The Treasurer's monthly financial report was read by the Clerk and ordered filed. The report of the Water Supt was r ad and ordered filed. A motion was made seconded and carried instructing the Clerk to send the water bill against the Day place tb Miss Sanders. The proposed budget was read by the Clerk. On motion made seconded and carried is was accepted. Acting Mayor Green called a special meeting for Monday October first at 10.00 A. M. to boar protests on the proposed budget. NEW BUSINESS A motion was made seconded and carried empowering the Street Supt. to proceed with the street repair work. No other business arrearing the Co';ncii adjourned at 9.45 P. M.
