Description of Incident
King County Corrections Guild leadership filed a theft case with the Tukwila Police Department in
January 2016. Initially, they did not know the scope of the theft but wanted to assure they had
notified police. The guild continued to investigate and found more evidence. This week, we spoke
with guild leadership again and they told Tukwila Police what they had uncovered. We have
scheduled a meeting next week where the guild leadership will present their evidence to Tukwila
detectives so we can investigate the case.
We understand the public's interest in this case and we will release more information when the
investigation is complete. Until then, we will not discuss the case with the media.
