Acceptance of Public Comments — Andover Park East Water Main and Sewer
Replacement Project
Deadline for comments to Department of Ecology: September 2, 2016
The City of Tukwila, 6200 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188, is seeking coverage under the
Washington State Department of Ecology's Construction Stormwater NPDES (National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System) and State Waste Discharge General Permit. The proposed
project, Andover Park East Water Main and Sewer Replacement Project, located on Andover
Park East from Strander Blvd., north to 1 -405, in Tukwila, WA, in King County. This project
involves 4.0 acres of soil disturbance for the installation of new water and sewer mains in
Andover Park East. The receiving water is Gilliam Creek.
Any person interested in the department's action on this application or who would like to present
their views may notify the Department of Ecology of their interest within thirty days of the last
date of publication of this notice or September 2, 2016. The Department of Ecology reviews
public comments and considers whether discharges from this project would cause a measurable
change in receiving water quality, and, if so, whether the project is necessary and in the
overriding public interest according to Tier II anti - degradation requirements under WAC 173-
201 A -320.
