Minutes:
Board members shared their scores, thoughts and recommendations for the remaining RFP's.
Collective discussion took place regarding poverty, food insecurity, housing costs, growing community
need and programs that support immediate crisis. Group consensus occurred on funding allocations.
Members asked to receive an updated spreadsheet showing recommendations for the 2017 -18 budget
and an updated pie chart showing category percentages.
Next steps: Staff will prepare data, informational memo and share with group. Staff will discuss
recommendations with Administration and prepare for council sub - committee (Community Affairs and
Parks) and council meetings when the Mayor's office budget is discussed. Board members asked to be
informed when council meetings will occur around the Human Services part of the budget.
Our next meeting will be held Friday, September 9th from 11 -1 in the Human Services conference
room.
