AN ORDINANCE OF THE TON OF TUKWILA ANNEXING PROPERTY TO
THE TOWN OF TUKWILA UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 128
OF THE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 123 of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 a petition in writing
asking for the annexation of certain property contiguous to the
town limits of the Town of Tukwila, hereinafter more particularly
described, has been filed with the Town Council, signed by the
owners of not less than 75 percent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, which petition sets forth a legal des-
cription of the property and was accompanied by plat or drawing, out
lining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
V :HEk EAS, the Town council has heretofore fixed January 3, 1961,
at the hour of 3 :30 P.M., in the Council Chambers in t Town :all,
Tukwila, Washington, as the time and place for Public E Baring upon
such petition, and a copy of said notice was published in the Renton
Chronicle, a legal newspaper of ;eneral circulation in the Town of
Tukwila, and was posted in three public places within the territory
proposed for annexation, which notices specified the time and place
of such Hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice
approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said rearing, the
Council approved the petition for annexation and set :midnight,
January 3, 1961, as the effective Hate of tie annexation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OFDAINED by the Town Council of Tukwila,
as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 123 of the
Session Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following
described property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of
Tukwila, to-wit:
Beginning, at the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of
Section 26, Township 23 North, Range 4 East W.M. and running
thence along the West Boundary of said subdivision South
0 East 1172.16 feet; THENCE parallel to the North
Boundary of said subdivision South 39 East 3.96.00 feet
to the true point of beginning of this description; THENCE
continuing South 39 East 436.00 feet; THENCE South
0 East 463.35 feet to the South Boundary of the North
one -half of the North one -half of the Southwest quarter of
said Southwest quarter; THENCE along the said South boundary
North S?9 West 436.05 feet; THENCE, North 0 'lest
466.66 feet to the true point of beginning; (Being known as
Tract 23 Sunrise View, according to the unrecorded plat there
of). In addition to the above described property the Last 30'
between said described property and the present Tukwila town
limits. Better known as the West half of 33rd Ave. So,,
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
SECTION 2. The said annexation shall be effective on and after
midnight January 3, 1961, and from and after said date property
shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances of the Town of
Tukwila then and after in force.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five days after its passage, approval and legal publication as
provided by law.
PASSED this 3rd day of January 1961

PETITION
The undersigned owners do hereby petition the Tukwila Town Council
to annex the following described property to the town of Tukwila,
Washington:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of
Section 26, Township 23 North, Range 4 East W.M. and running
thence along the West Boundary of said subdivision South
0 °48'39" East 1172.16 feet; THENCE parallel to the North
Boundary of said subdivision South 89 °21'31" East 396.00 feet
to the true point of beginning of this description; THENCE
continuing South 89 °21'31" East 436.00 feet; THENCE South
0 48'39" East 468.35 feet to the South Boundary of the North
one -half of the North one -half of the Southwest quarter of
said Southwest quarter; THENCE along the said South Boundary
North 89 °08'06" West 436.05 feet; THENCE North 0 °48'39" West
466.66 feet to the true point of beginning; (Being known as
Tract 23 Sunrise View, according to the unrecorded plat there
of),In addition to the above described property the East 30'
between said described property and the present Tukwila town
limits.Better known as the West half of 53rd Ave. So.
The above area being contiguous to the present Tukwila town
limits.
