For the purpose of this code, any structure or premises that has any or all of the conditions or defects described below shall be considered dangerous: A fire originated on the second floor and extended into the attic. The roof structure collapsed into the second floor in certain areas. Fire Department has declared the structure as Dangerous Do Not Enter for the resulting fire damage. Do Not Enter Dangerous Structure. Secure structure against entry. Obtain a building permit for building repairs. Secure structure against entry. 6/13/2016 Violation # 4 Code Reference: VACANT BUILDINGS STRUCTURES AND PREMISES TMC 8.28.030(D) Abandoned premises, chronic nuisance buildings or premises, vacant nuisance buildings, and vacant nuisance properties are found and declared to be nuisances. On March 11, 2016 a fire collapsed the roof structure into the second floor of the structure. The structure has been vacant since March 11, 2016 when a fire broke out and collapsed the roof structure into the second floor making the structure Dangerous and unfit for human occupancy. Compliance Date: 6/16/2016 UNSAFE STRUCTURES IPMC 108.1.1 An unsafe structure is one that is found to be dangerous to the life, health, property or safety of the public or the occupants of the structure. A fire did extensive damage spreading from the second floor into the attic and the roof structure has collapsed into the second floor in certain areas. Obtain a building permit for building repairs. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS ORDER MAY SUBJECT YOU TO A MONETARY PENALTY OF UP TO $500 PER DAY PER VIOLATION FOR EACH DAY THAT THE VIOLATION EXISTS PER TMC 8.45.100(2). Appeal Provisions A person may, within ten days of receipt of this notice, file with the City Clerk a written notice of appeal containing the following: 1. A heading with the words: "Before the Hearing Officer of the City of Tukwila" 2. A caption reading: "Appeal of " giving the names of all appellants participating in the appeal. 3. A brief statement setting forth the legal interest of each of the appellants in the property involved in the notice and order. 4. A brief statement of the specific order or action protested, together with any material facts claimed to support the contentions of the appellant(s). 5. A brief statement of the relief sought, and the reasons why it is claimed that the notice and order should be reversed, modified, or otherwise set aside. 6. The signature of all persons named as appellants and their official mailing addresses. 7. The verification (by declaration under penalty of perjury) of each appellant as to the truth of the matters stated in the appeal. 8. The appeal fee for violations in the LDR zone is $100.00. All other zones $200.00. Fees must accompany the written notice of appeals. Failure to appeal this Violation Notice and Order shall constitute a waiver of all rights to any additional administrative hearings.
