During this time period, cover or mulch other disturbed areas, if they will be unworked more than 2 days. Covered material must be stockpiled on site at the beginning of this period. Inspect and maintain this stabilization weekly and immediately before, during and following storms. 11: From May 1 through September 30, inspect and maintain temporary erosion prevention and sediment at least monthly. All disturbed areas of the site shall be permanently stabilized prior to final construction approval. 12: The applicant must notify the City Utility Inspector at (206)433.0179 upon commencement and completion of work at least 24 hours In advance. Stansel and Charles 1. Hale performed a pre - demolition inspection and sampling of materials at 15616 West Valley Highway, Tukwila, Washington. A total of 34 sanples were collected for asbestos and 47 lab analyses were performed on them. Six samples of paint were collected for lead analysis. The samples were collected from the house, the garage and the shop building at this location. In the case of non - manufactured building multiple samples were collected and analyzed according to the AHERA sampling protocols. The materials were submiitted to NVL Laboratories, Inc, at 4708 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle for asbestos analysis by polarized light microscopy and dispersion staining. The paint samples were analyzed by the same laboratory using atomic absorption spectrophotometric analyses. Those building materials containing asbestos at this house exist in four locations: 1) The elbows on the pipe insulation in the basement contain 25% Crysotile Asbestos, 2) The straight pipe runs are insulated with 60% Cyrsotile asbestos. 3) The underlayer of the back porch linoleum contains 55% Chrysotlle 4) There is 4% Chrysotile in the top layer of the house roofing, Prior to demolition, or moving this structure, the first three materials must be removed using Washington State Certified Asbestos Workers. The pipe insulation in the basement can be appropriately abated by glove bags, and the flooring on the back porch is a relatively small project. The exterior of both the house and the garage (other than the garage door) have been painted with lead containing paint. The limit of action set by both HUD and the EPA is 1 %i *he interior paint and the garage door paint is not of concern. It the paint is to be left on the building materials during demolition it will comprise significantly less that 1% of the waste. If the house and/or garage is/are relocated for future use, it would be . appropriate to follow the HUD guidelines for the abatement of the exterior lead paint, Thank you for the opportunity to be of service to Gull Industries.
