In addition, Fields Hot Asphalts are applied to install roofing and waterproofing sheets. Fields Hot Applied Asphalts are compatible with SEES, APP, and SBS rubber modified asphalts and will ad- here to most surfaces. DESCRIPTION: Fields Hot Applied Asphalt is an as- phalt that provides superior elastic performance against ther- mal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a roof mem- brane caused by temperature changes. Roof membranes are also penetrated by the sun's destructive UV (ultraviolet) rays. UV rays destroy a roof's elasticity. Roofs made brittle and weak from UV rays easily break under the assault of thermal shock cycles. Fields Hot Applied Asphalt is your best defense against these attacks. With Fields Hot Ap- plied Asphalt, your roofing and waterproofing installations will perform much longer. Fields Hot Applied Asphalts have a UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Class A Fire Rat- ing. PACKAGING: T3 & T4 MeltPacs are available in 50 pound bricks, Tl, T2, T3, & T4 MeltKeg and MeltBulk are available in 100 pound kegs and bulk. DIRECTIONS Before applying Fields Hot Asphalt as a protective coat- ing, clean away all loose gravel, dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area. The application surface shall be firm, clean, dry, frost -free, and smooth. Seal any leaking penetrations and repair membrane damage with M300 RubrMastic. Uniformly apply a coating of Fields Hot Asphalt at the rate of 30 pounds per 100 square feet. In- stall any of the following Fields roofing and waterproof- ing sheets with Fields Hot Applied Asphalt: M60 RubrPoly, M64 RubrPoly2, F50 PolyShield, F55 PolyShield2, M62 RubrGlas, M66 RubrGlas2, F52 GlasIase2, F56 GlasPly6, or F54 GlasPly4. Uniformly apply 30 pounds per 100 square feet of Fields Hot Asphalt for base and ply sheet adhesives. For maximum protec- tion and reduced energy costs, apply M800 RubrStar over Fields Hot Applied Asphalts. Allow Fields Hot Ap- plied Asphalts a minimum of 90 days to set up before ap- plying the RubrStar, SPECIFICATIONS: Fields Hot Applied Asphalts ex- ceed the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D 312. Each MeltPac weighs 50 pounds, making it possible to place the entire MeltPac into an asphalt kettle and completely melt the brick, including the plastic wrapper and the asphalt. In addition, Fields Hot Applied Asphalt eliminates all disposal costs, reducing the volume of waste sent to land fills. Flelds Hot Applied Asphalt keeps your job site clean of asphalt and carton debris. With Fields Hot Applied Asphalt, the need to tear open cardboard cartons and to chop apart the conventional 100 pound asphalt plugs is eliminated, Since employees are no longer required to use axes, axe injuries are eliminated. Also, back injuries are reduced because the 50 pound MeltPac brick is half the weight of the 100 pound asphalt kegs for employees to lift. DESCRIPTION: M66 RubrGlas2 is an asphalt coated fiber- glass BasePly sheet. Select raw materials have been formulated into an SEBS rubber asphalt, 1.80 lb fiberglass sheet. In additon, RubrGlas2 is a patented breakthrough achieved by Fields in SEBS chemistry. SEBS rubber polymers are the only ones known to effectively resist the sun's destructive ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays bake out the elasticity and destroy the fibers in roofing and waterproofing membranes. The SEBS rubber in RubrGlas2 provides maximum elastic performance against ther- mal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a membrane caused by temperature changes. Membranes made weak from the assault of thermal shock cycles begin to break apart. RubrGlas2 is your best defense against these attacks. With RubrGlas2. your rooting and waterproofing membranes will perform much longer. RubrGlas2 has an Underwriters Laboratories (UL.) Class A Fire Rating when installed in specified systems. DIRECTIONS: Store M66 RubrGlas2 on end. Keep protected from damage and humidity. Install base sheets with RubrGlas2, the substrate is required to be firm, clean, dry, and smooth. Apply the RubrGlas2 base sheet so that the flow of water is over or parallel to the seams. Lap the RubrGlas2 2" on the side laps and a minimum of •l" on the end laps. Extend the RubrGlas2 to the head of all cants. Secure the RubrGlas2 to the substrate by either nailing or adhering. Nailed bare sheets, use nails with 1" heads and nail the RubrGlas2 9" on center on both the outside edges and the scams. Also, nail two rows 12" In from each edge on 18" centers, and alternate the nails in each row so that they are offset from each other. Adhered base sheets, apply either Fields hot asphalt or ambient asphalt and lightly broom the base sheet Into the asphalt as it Is un- rolled, Hot asphalt installations, apply either MT3 RubrPuc or T3 MeltPac at the rate of 25 lbs per 100 square feet. Ambi- ent asphalt Installations, use either M1SO RubrSeal, M100 RubrCoat, or F100 PowrCoat at the rate of 5 gallons per 100 square feet. Install an extra sheet of RubrGlas2 in valleys and waterways. This extra sheet shall extend at least 8" up the inclines of valleys and be applied as specified for adhered base sheets. Install ply sheets with RubrGlas2, the base sheet or substrate is required to be firm, clean, dry, and smooth. DIRECTIONS (Continued) Apply any one of the following as the ply sheets: M60 RubrPoly, M64 RubrPoly2, FS0 PolyShieid, M62 RubrGlas, M66 RubrGlas2, F52 GlasI ase2, F56 GlasPly6, F54 GlasPly4, or FSS PalyShield2. Install the ply sheets parallel to the base sheet so that the flow of water is over or parallel to the seams. Apply 2. 3, or 4 ply sheets in shingle fashion on the correct laylines. Start by cutting and installing the starter strips and continue by installing the ply sheets in a uniform interply appli- cation of either MT3 RubrPttc or T3 MeltPac hot asphalt at the rate of 25 Ibs per ply sheet per 100 square feet: Or, M150 RubrSeal, M100 RubrCoat, or F100 PowrCoat ambient as- phalt at the rate of 5 gallons per ply sheet per 100 square feet. Make end laps a minimum of 4 ". Adjacent end laps shall be offset at least 12" apart. Lightly broom the ply sheets into the asphalt as they are unrolled. Install the surface coating wits: RubrGlas2, the ply sheets are required to be firm. clean, dry, and smooth. Adhere an extra base flashing strip of RubrGlas2 on all tlashings at the same rate of asphalt as required for adhering base sheets. Extend the extra base flashing a mini- mum of 2" above the head of the cants and a minium of 4" beyond the toe of the cants. Then, uniformly coat the entire surface with any one of the following: MT3 RubrPac, T3 MeltPQe, M150 RubrSeal, M100 RubrCoat, F100 PowrCoat. M700 RubrGard, or F700 PowrGard. The many uses for RubrMastic make it one of the most versatile roofing and waterproofing prod- ucts ever engineered. Select raw materials have been formulated into an all weather asphalt mastic that chal- lenges the laws of physics by actually adhering under water, In addition, RubrMasdc is a patented breakthrough achieved by Fields in SEBS chemistry. SEBS rubber poly- mers are the only ones known to effectively resist the sun's destructive ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays bake out the elas- ticity and destroy the fibers in roofing and waterproofing membranes. The SEBS rubber in RubrMastic provides maximum elastic performance against thermal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a membrane caused by temperature changes. Membranes made weak from the as- sault of thermal shock cycles begin to break apart, RubrMasdc is your best defense against these attacks. With RubrMastic, your roofing and waterproofing installations will perform much longer. RubrMasdc is asbestos free. SEBS RUBBER: The SEBS rubber in M300 RubrMastic provides greater flexibility, lower mois- ture permeability, greater fatigue resistance, better weath- ering durability, greater tensile strength, higher tempera- ture stability, and improved resistance to UV rays, ozone attacks, and roof oils. DIRECTIONS M300 RubrMastic is friendly to apply, even in below freezing, wet conditions. Warm RubrMastic to room tem- perature for easiest application. Clean away all loose gravel, dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area Use a broad putty knife and apply RubrMastic directly from the container, without diluting. When applying to a wet sur- face, trowel and work the RubrMastic onto the surface until a secure bond is achieved. To seal areas exposed to water penetrations with RubrMastic, generously apply a minimum .5" thick layer of RubrMastic over the ex- posed area. To repair surface breaks with RubrMastic, use PolyWeb or GlasWeb for reinforcement Form a three layer repair by first troweling a generous application of RubrMastic over the break and beyond the width and length of the PolyWeb or GlasWeb you intend to install. Second, lightly trowel the PolyWeb or GlasWeb into the RubrMasdc. Third, carefully trowel a generous applica- tion of RubrMasdc over the entire repair, making sure to completely cover the PolyWeb or GlasWeb, For severe breaks, apply additional layers of GlasWeb with RubrMastic. PACKAGING: M300 RubrMasdc is available in 1 gal- lon cans, 3 gallon pails, 5 gallon pails, and 11 & 29 oz tubes.
