9. ALL EXISTING ROOF VENTS, BATH AND KITCHEN EXHAUST VENTS OR SIMILAR
VENTILATORS WILL BE REMOVED, CLEANED AND REINSTALLED INTO THE NEW ROOFING
SYSTEM ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS.
NOTE: SHOULD SHEETMETAL FLANGES ON ROOF VENTS BE RUSTED THROUGH OR
OTHERWISE DAMAGED AND THE EXISTING VENT UNUSABLE, NEW UNITS WILL BE
FABRICATED AND BILLED TO THE OWNER AS A CONTRACT EXTRA.
10. HVAC WILL BE LIFTED AND THE NEW FOOFING SYSTEM INSTALLED UNDERNEATH. ALL
SLEEPERS WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED AT AN EXTRA CHARGE IF NECESSARY.
11. INSTALL NEW SHEET METAL. PITCH PANS WHERE REQUIRED TO INSURE WATERTIGHT
INSTALLATION AND FLASH ACCORDING TO THE MEMBRANE MANUFACTURER'S
SPECIFICATIONS USING POURABLE SEALER.

13. APP &1' LYA4rms. OVER THE ENT IRE ROOF MEMBRANE. PROVIDE AND
APPLY KARNAK 97 OR EQUAL ALUMINUM ROOF COATING AT A COVERAGE RATE OF ONE
GALLON PER SQUARE. ROOF COATING PROTECTS THE ROOFING MEMBRANE FROM ULTRA
VIOLET RAYS, CHEMICAL ATTACK, RAPID WEATHERING AND OTHER CONDITIONS THAT
CAUSE ACCELERATED DETERIORATION. REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND THE APPRO-
PRIATE COATING CAN EXTEND THE LIFE MANY YEARS.
14. BID IS SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF LOCAL AGENCIES. ANY BUILDING PERMITS
REQUIRED ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS BID AND WILL BE ADDED TO THE FINAL BILLING.
15. CONTRACTOR DURING THE EXECUTION OF THIS CONTRACT WILL AT ALL TIMES OPERATE
IN A SAFE AND ORGANIZED MANNER KEEPING ALL TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES IN
DESIGNATED WORK AREAS. THE JOB SITE WILL BE SWEPT AND KEPT CLEAN OF DEBRIS
DURING WORKING HOURS AND PRIOR TO DAILY WORK COMPLETION.
