BONDCOTE.
Maximum reliability
with minimum effort.
Roofing always ready to install.
Rolls are easily handled on the roof. It
unrolls clean, dry and fully relaxed, even at cold
temperatures. So there is no delay
for cleaning or for the sheet to
flatten before attachment.
Each project is thoroughly
inspected by a BondCote
inspector before the
warranty is issued.
Mechanical attachment
eliminates the need for ballast.
1
The BondCote roof goes
down fast. A trained crew of 5
men can install up to 100
squares a day; few other roofs
even come close. And a
BondCote roof will stay down,
easily exceeding FM wind
uplift codes without ballast. In
fact, it has been popular in
coastal areas because it
remained watertight through
major hurricanes.
A complete line of accessories including adhe-
sive, fasteners, caulking and pre - molded
(lashings are available from BondCote.
BondCote Offers:
* 300 Series
* 350 Series
* 400 Series

Reduced danger of
injury or accident.
No flammable solvents,
adhesives or cleaners are
needed to install a BondCote
roof.
There's no fire or hot pitch,
no flaming torch is needed on
seams. Tools are simple and
safe. Materials are relatively
light in weight, easy to handle
on the roof.
Compared to BUR, installa-
tion cost can be cut in half in
most cases. The reduced risk
to a smaller crew and to the
building could result in lower
insurance rates.
Factory inspection.
All BondCote certified con-
tractors are trained and
licensed, but the finished roof
installation is always
thoroughly examined by a
BondCote technical represen-
tative. When work is com-
pleted to his satisfaction,
BondCote Corporation places
the strongest warranty in the
industry into effect.
A typical hot air welder used to secure seams.
Few problems.
No problem.
BondCote is virtually
unaffected by weather, UV
exposure, and has excellent
chemical resistant properties.
Seams are as strong as the
material itself, and it is among
the strongest single -ply being
manufactured today. BondCote
installations have a "no
maintenance" history. And
with roof traffic minimized we
expect them to remain repair
free.
If the membrane is damag-
ed, during rooftop equipment
work, a welded patch makes a
fast and permanent repair.
More and more rnator companies are choosing a
new highly reflective BondCote Hoofing System
for their manufacturing facilities. BondCote was
first choice for this 333,000 sq. ft. roof for the
Vesta Contract Plant in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The BondCote single -ply roofing systems qualify for FM Class I,
1 -60 and 1 -90; UL Class A or B for new or retrofit constructions;
CABO (SBCCI, ICBO, BOCA) report number NER -309; and
Metro -Dade approval number 90- 0102.4.

Today, 60% of the commercial buildings in
the United States are protected by single -ply
roofing systems. The benefits of these systems
are well -known to owners and specifiers:
favorable life-cycle costs, design flexibility,
easy maintenance, lower heating and cooling
bills. What's Tess certain, however, is where
to turn for such an important investment.
There are dozens of manufacturers to choose
from. You want a company who can tailor
a system to your property needs. A company
with a proven track record. A company
who's there to back up its work year after
year. A company like BondCote.
BondCote.
The leader in single -ply
roofing systems.
From the Artic to the Antarctic, millions of square feet of
BondCote roofing have been installed. What's more
impressive, in over fifteen years, we've never had a
material failure. Nor have we ever changed our NBP
formulation. The explanation for such enduring perfor-
mance? Our unmatched expertise in coated fabrics.
For more than forty -five years, BondCote has produced
a wide variety of coated and laminated fabric - supported
membranes for demanding industries around the world,

BondCote roofing membranes
combine a tough outer polymer
blend with a proprietary
internal fabric reinforcement.
The result is a system that
performs beautifully in any
environment. BondCote was the first company to develop
a polyester - reinforced thermoplastic blend for the roofing
industry. With a reflective rating of 80 %, the material
lowers HVAC costs and extends overall roofing system life.
In fact, BondCote roofing systems have exceeded 10,000
hours of accelerated aging with virtually no effect. In tests
in the Arizona desert, membranes were subjected to

to inhibit mildew, fungi, and algae growth, are naturally
fire retardant, prevent water penetration at pressures
up to 700 psi, and cut energy costs. Embedded in the
thermoplastic is our unique FiberLoc® fabric, providing
unmatched strength and stability. The fabric is constructed
by weft insertion, a process where a third yarn is
introduced to the conventional two -yarn pattern. The
third yarn ties the primary yarns together in a knitting
fashion, significantly increasing physical properties and
durability. In fact, BondCote membranes have a tensile

A choke of membranes for a
wide range of specifications.
When it comes to roofs, one size does not fit all. So
BondCote offers a full range of membranes to respond
to any environmental condition. Our system is offered in
four thicknesses: 80 mil, 60 mil, 50 mil, and 35 mil. You
can specify the thicker membranes for your entire roof or
in combination with a standard membrane to provide
additional protection in critical areas — around
perimeters, serviceable maintenance areas, penthouse
access doorways and high- traffic areas. You may also
consider the added muscle of our thicker membranes for
roofing areas over valuable capital equipment, billing
records, inventory and mainframe computers. All
BondCote membranes are Factory Mutual approved
and classified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.

BondCote Roofing Membrane is a reinforced, thermoplastic
single -ply roofing membrane which is designed to be
mechanically attached or fully adhered to various deck sys-
tems, both new construction and retrofit, over suitable insula-
tion materials. The membrane may also be installed loosely,
with recommended perimeter and penetration attachment, and
ballasted with round, washed, river bottom gravel or
approved paver blocks at minimum weight of 10 lbs. per sq.
ft. (475 Pa). All seams are to hot -air welded.
Limitations:
BondCote Roofing Membrane is subject to attack by coal tar
bitumen, certain aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and
some solvents. Consult BondCote Roofing Systems (BCRS)
for installation recommendations. Membrane must be stored
in original protective packaging and kept dry prior to installa-
tion.
Composition and Materials:
BondCote Roofing Membrane is formulated from a fluxed
blend of acrylonitrile butadienc rubber, synthetic thermoplas-
tic resins, and other proprietary ingredients using a unique
polyester Fiber Loc Reinforcing Scrim.

BondCote Roofing Systems requires technical school attendance for all new Contractors and provides installation specifications,
details, and instructions. Technical and consulting services are supplied by BondCote Roofing Systems for any phase of the
roofing project. All final installations are inspected by BondCote Roofing Systems prior to issuance of the warranty to ensure
compliance with the specifications. (Note: This Product Data Sheet if for information only and is not to be used for actual
installattion).
Preparation of Substrates:
Do not proceed with roofing until all vents, drains, curbs, blocking, nailing strips, and projections through the roof deck have
been installed. All flashing details should he done with BondCote Roofing Systems coated metal and premolded boots and
corners which are hot -air welded directly to the field membrane.
Retrofit:
A minimum 1/2" (12.7 mm) thick recover board or insulation is to be used to separate BondCote Roofing Membrane from
existing roofs or substrates. Loose gravel may be removed from existing roofs, all wet insulation removed and replaced, blisters
and defects cut out, and surface cleaned and dried. Insulation must be mechanically fastened to roof deck over the entire roof
area with BondCote Roofing Systems fasteners and plates. Type and size of insulation will dictate fastener spacipa(ob
BondCote Roofing Systems manual), and only BondCote Rooting Systems - approved insulation will be perifillabO.OF TUKWILA

Warranty:
New Construction:
Type, size, and thickness of insulation should be as specified by architect or building owner, but must be limited to insulations
approved by UL, FM, local building codes, or BondCote Roofing Systems. Fasteners and plates must be used with spacing as
required in BondCote Roofing Systems' installation manual.
Notes:
• All fasteners must be of the correct type for the decking system and the proper length for required penetration.
• Provisions must be made during installation to prevent any moisture from getting under the partially completed roofing system.
• Insulation should be installed to promote roof drainage.
• Due to incompatibility of certain insulations with coal tar pitch, or cold process applications, a separator sheet may be required
between the old roof and the new installation. Consult BondCote Roofing Systems for recommendations.
Installation of Membrane Mechanically Attached:
Roll out membrane perpendicular to the corrugation of metal substrate or the lineal joints of a concrete substrate.
For pre -cast concrete and concrete T's, consult manufacturer for recommended installation procedures. Make sure the factory-
marked side of the membrane is facing up.
Roofing membrane should be placed over the insulation and mechanically fastened with BondCote Roofing Systems fasteners
and plates. For 22 gauge (or thicker) steel decks, structural concrete decks, or minimum 3/4" (19 mm) wood decks, fastener
spacing is 18" (457 mm) o.c. Fastener length must be sufficient to meet required roof deck penetration. If deck composition,
deck thickness, and structural integrity are not known, consult BondCote Roofing Systems for minimum fastener spacing.
All field seam laps should be hot -aired welded with an automatic welder and all flashing details. Areas where an automatic
cannot be used are to be welded with hand -held hot -air welders. Each lap should follow the premarked lines on the membrane.
All field fabrications should be uniform and consistent with the instructions and examples of the most current BondCote Roofing
Systems publications. Distance of hot -air welded laps in relation to mechanical attachments must be no greater than 4" (102
mm). All end laps must be mechanically fastened with BondCote Roofing Systems fasteners and plates with the same interval
spacing as in the field sheets. Round all exposed corners of the roofing membrane prior to hot -air welding together.
Fully Adhered:
Approved roof insulation is to be mechanically attached to roof deck with a minimum of one BondCote Roofing Systems fasten-
er and 3" (76 mm) plate per 2 sq. ft. (609 mm`). Hot asphalt attachment of roof insulation is acceptable over certain substrates.
BondCote Roofing Systems adhesive is to be applied to both the membrane and roof insulation surfaces and allowed to dry until
tacky to the touch with no strings. The membrane is then mated to the substrate and brushed or rolled thoroughly to ensure total
adhesion. Mechanically fasten the membrane around roof perimeter and penetrations with BondCote Roofing Systems fasteners
and plates. Handle all details and flashings in the same manner as in mechanically fastened installations.
Ballasted:
A thorough investigation of roof substrate must be performed to insure the structural integrity of the substrate to support the
weight load of ballasting required to secure roofing membrane. (BondCote Roofing Systems suggests that a certified structural
survey be performed to quality the roof for ballast.) Mechanically fasten the membrane around the roof perimeter and penetra-
tions with BondCote Roofing Systems fasteners and plates. BondCote Roofing Systems requires a minimum of 1" (25 mm), 15
psi compressive strength rigid insulation between the roofing membrane and roof deck. Ballast membrane with 3/4" (19 mm) to
1 1/2" (38 mm) rounded (smooth) washed river rock. Spread ballast to conform with the weight of 1000 lbs. (4451 N) per 100
sq. ft. (4788 Pa). Handle all detail and flashings in the same manner as mechanically- fastened installations.
BondCote Roofing Systems Standard and Premium warranties cover materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years.
Optional fifteen (15) year packages are available upon request. Issuance of warranty is subject to final inspection and approval
by BondCote Roofing Systems Technical Representatives.
