During -the course of demolition, soil contaminated with petroleum products was discovered. Prior to further development, contaminated soil is planned for removal. This soil exists at 16 to 20 feet below the ground surface and will require excavation of overlying soil, stockpiling soil adjacent to the excavation, removal of contaminated soil offsite for disposal, and backfilling with excavated material and other onsite soil. A total of 3,150 cubic yards of soil is planned for excavation, with 650 cubic yards to be taken offsite. Work is expected to take 1 week to complete.
