MOTION CARRIED BID AWARD MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY HERNANDEZ, TO Riverbank Stabilization AWARD A CONTRACT TO TYDICO, INC., IN THE AMOUNT Project OF $60,489.21(INCLUDES 8.2% WSST) FOR THE RIVERBANK STABILIZATION PROJECT FOR THE GREEN RIVER TRAIL. Attorney Cohen read A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, TO APPROVE AN APPLICATION FOR THE SUNSHINE RIDGE PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTING FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS. MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY CRAFT, TO APPROVE RESOLUTION #1318 AS READ. MOTION CARRIED. MOVED BY HERNANDEZ, SECONDED BY CRAFT, TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THE FIRM OF KENYON SULLIVAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $132,000 FOR 1995 LEGAL SERVICES. MOTION CARRIED. Tukwila City Council Regular Meeting April 3, 1995 Page 3 REPORTS Mayor Council Staff EXECUTIVE SESSION 7:47 p.m. Mayor Rants gave a brief report on the current status of the RTA. Rants also reported that Valvue Sewer District will be installing sewers on 37th between 135th and 140th this summer as well as on 34th between 135th and 140th. Councilmember Hernandez reported she and Councilmember Ekberg attended an after hours business event at the Off Track sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Council President Joyce Craft reported she and Councilmember Mullet attended the joint ACC/RCAA meeting on April 1st. A written memo will be distributed to the Council. City Administrator John McFarland shared the results of an inspection of Southgate Trailer Park by the City, the Dept. of Labor Industry, and the King County Health Dept. Findings were as follows: Five trailers were not in compliance with Labor and Industry standards for structural aspects. They were red tagged as "uninhabitable The entire park was deemed out of compliance with electrical hookup standards. Several trailers have illegal and improper natural gas hookups, improper water hookups, and improper sewer hookups resulting in standing sewage on the ground. The inspectors also found several power transformers had been dismantled and left on the ground by tenant(s) unknown, electrical meters had been tampered with; garbage strewn on the ground; dumpsters left uncovered. Final reports from L &I and King County are expected next week. A few tenants may have to be relocated as a result of the findings. In this case, the expense of relocating tenants is the responsibility of the landlord. MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY MULLET, TO ADJOURN TO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR 15 MINUTES TO DISCUSS A LEGAL ISSUE.
