ASSESSOR'S OFFICE ACCOUNTING DIVISION 500 4TH AVE — RM 709A SEATTLE, WA 98104 To: Steve Lancaster K. From: Rebecca Fox Subj: SEPA Planned Action — Boeing Building 2 -64 Demolition Date: September 27, 2006 Proposal: Boeing proposes to demolish an existing metal compressor building, transformer yard and cooling tower located at 7755 East Marginal Way South within Plant 2.. The 5,100 square foot steel framed structure (shown in a set of nice hand - drafted plans dating from 1953!) would be demolished to the existing concrete floor. After demolition, the area would be covered in asphalt. The project site is presently 100% impervious surface, and would remain so once the project is complete. Background: The applicant has applied for a SEPA Planned Action. The impacts of the planned action were evaluated in the Tukwila Manufacturing/Industrial Center "Integrated GMA Implementation Plan and Environmental Impact Statement" (Draft - -May, 1997; Final — March 1998). The planned action was defined by Tukwila Ordinance #1853 (November, 1998). In considering the demolition permit, environmental review consists of: 1) verifying that the proposal meets the requirements of the planned action ordinance; 2) ensuring that the EIS evaluated all likely significant adverse impacts associated with the proposal; and 3) applying mitigation identified in the EIS. Finding: My review of the new checklist and the planned action criteria checklist indicates that the project meets all the criteria for consideration as a planned action. There are no significant unmitigated adverse impacts associated with the demolition. No further threshold determination is required, as this review meets the procedural aspects of SEPA. Recommendation: I recommend that the demolition permit be granted as a planned action without further environmental review. • • PLAN REVIEW /ROUTING SLIP ACTIVITY NUMBER: D06 -348 PROJECT NAME: BOEING 2 -64 DEMOLITION SITE ADDRESS: 8123 EAST MARGINAL WY S DATE: 09 -21 -06 X Original Plan Submittal :Response to Incomplete 'Letter # Response to Correction Letter # Revision # After•.Permit Issued DEPARTMENTS: Building Division Public Works n Fire Prevention Structural Planning Division nPermit Coordinator n DETERMINATION OF COMPLETENESS: (Tues., Thurs.) l ,, v Complete I71 Comments: Incomplete n DUE DATE: 09 -26 -06 Not Applicable n Permit Center Use Only INCOMPLETE LETTER MAILED: LETTER OF COMPLETENESS LE MAILED: : Departments determined incomplete: Bldg ❑ Fire ❑ Ping ❑ PW ❑ Staff Initials: TUES/THURS ROUTING: Please Route n Structural Review Required REVIEWER'S INITIALS: n No further Review Required DATE: APPROVALS OR CORRECTIONS: Approved Approved with Conditions Notation: rit rC--ec 2)-9 4 ; N %REVIEWER'S INITIALS: ' /' DUE DATE: 10 -24-06 Not Approved (attach comments) >rr/7 k.---4,1 7 /- fGl.
