SUBJECT:
The South 188th Connector Feasibility Study and Regional Impacts report for
the construction of South 188th Connector from I -5 at South 188th with
Southcenter Parkway in the vicinity of South 180th with a new 4 or 5 lane
arterial is now complete.
This is a project consisting of a four or five lane roadway in anew
location. It requires right -of -way and demolition (Potential) of some
structures. Due to the project's scope, a full EIS is normally anticipated
with a project of this nature. Public interest to date indicates that
enough public controversy is associated with the project to consider it .
appropriate to carry out a full EIS.
Therefore, this project is classified as a Class I project and shall
receive a full EIS procedure as part of its development.
