Proposal would not change existing zoning designations nor
land uses, except that it would affect the sign structures
of public facilities in residential zones. For such
faciliites, the proposed ordinance would increase the
maximum area of a sign face and increase the current height
maximum. The proposed changes are consistent with the
Tukwila Comprehensive Plan and the current Tukwila Sign
Code, and is compatible with existing residential
neighborhoods in which sign changes might occur.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON AMENDING
CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. RELATING TO SIGNS
FOR PUBLIC FACILITIES IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES, AND AMENDING
TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 19.0.
WHEREAS, the City Council haS previously considered at length
the regulation ;of signs for schools and public facilties in
residential zones within the City of Tukwila; and
WHEREAS, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. relating
to sign regulations within the City of Tukwila on September 20,
1982; and
WHEREAS, the amendments set forth below are necessary to
correct and clarify various provisions of Ordinance No. as
originally adopted; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Chapter 19.08: DEFINITIONS. Tukwila Municipal Code Chapter 19.08
is hereby amended to read as follows:

Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall

Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
five (5) days after publication of the attached summary which is hereby
approved.
