Responsible Official Kjell Stoknes Position /Title Director, Office of Community Development Date 9 June 1978 Signature COMMENTS: June 2, 1978 Mr. Fred N. Satterstrom City of Tukwila Office of Community Development Tukwila, Washington 98188 1844 -A • RE: Environmental Checklist Questionaire: Koll- Andover Phase III Dear Mr. Satterstrom: In response to your letter of 25 May 78, the following comments are noted for your perusal. Item 1. The land has been in a surcharged: state for.approxi.mately„thr_-ee ;years and is basically flat. The construction proposed would not result in unstable earth conditions or changes in geologic substructures. 284 5771 2. Air emissions or deterioration of ambient air quality could be affected through increase in traffic (trucks, and automobiles). 3. Changes in absorption rates and drainage could be affected. Buildings paving and landscaping would alter areas of absorption. Changes in the quantity of ground water could be altered but probably not significantly as the water table is high in this area. 6. Noise levels could be effected through increased traffic. 13. Parking requirments are satisfied on site and exceed local requirements. The effect on existing facilities would be negligible. Hopefully this expands some of our thinking on the items you felt needed further response. If we can further clarify any of these points, please call me directly. Please find enclosed the revised environmental check- list form. R pectf 1 9 Vic+ President RABcj 25 May 1978 CITY of TUKW LA OFFICE of COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT Royce A.
